Senior Associate, External Audit - Banking & Capital Markets

About the role

PwC Australia is recruiting a Senior Associate in its Assurance line of service, specialising in Banking and Capital Markets. You will provide audit and audit-related services to clients in the financial services sector, working alongside leading teams and exploring new technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out external audits, financial statement assessments and ensure compliance with standards and regulations
• Analyse, identify and resolve complex business issues with effective strategies
• Work in a team-oriented environment, fostering collaboration and innovation
• Maintain integrity and ethical behaviour, and build trust with clients and stakeholders
• Develop audit strategies and methodologies with cross-functional teams
• Analyse and document internal control systems and environments
• Coach and mentor junior colleagues

Required profile

• Ability to execute audit processes and statutory reporting for large proprietary and publicly listed companies
• Experience developing financial audit strategies and methodologies
• Experience analysing and documenting internal controls
• Experience coaching and mentoring junior colleagues
