Senior Associate - Environment & Sustainable Development

About the role

Clayton Utz's Band-1 Environment & Sustainable Development (ESD) practice is looking for a senior lawyer to join its Sydney team. Working with senior partners, you will handle a diverse mix of strategic and policy advice, major projects and transactions, and litigation and dispute resolution, acting for public and private sector clients including government agencies and large corporations.

Key responsibilities

• Work on strategic and policy advice, major projects and transactions, and litigation and dispute resolution
• Act for public and private sector clients, including government agencies and ASX100 and multinational companies
• Build your own brand and practice through mentorship, leadership development and career opportunities
• Undertake client secondments when available to refine commercial skills

Required profile

• At least 6 years of PQE in a reputable commercial law firm, with time spent as a senior associate
• Excellent academic results
• Experience in a reputable environment and planning practice, covering transactional, advisory and litigious matters
• Willingness to mentor and guide junior team members
