About the role

This senior associate position offers the chance to work within a genuinely global competition/antitrust practice in Sydney, handling complex regulatory, merger control and enforcement matters with a strong cross‑border focus.

Key responsibilities

Draft and settle sections of merger submissions and clearance filings, and prepare engagement packs and correspondence for the ACCC.
Run first‑cut advice, manage discrete workstreams in investigations, including evidence mapping, chronology building and response drafting.
Advise domestic and international clients on complex mergers, joint ventures, cartel conduct, misuse of market power and broader consumer protection issues across Australia, APAC and other jurisdictions.

Required profile

4‑6 years post‑qualification experience in competition and consumer law.
Strong technical foundation, sound judgment and ability to work calmly across multiple matters.
Collaborative style and professional presence within a close‑knit, partner‑led team.
