Senior Analyst – Private Tax & Advisory

About the role

The Senior Analyst will join Deloitte Private Tax & Advisory in Sydney, supporting managers, directors and partners who serve Australia’s most prominent families and private enterprises. You will work with high‑net‑worth individuals, family groups, start‑ups and mature businesses, delivering tax and advisory services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review client financial statements, reports and income tax returns for private companies, trusts, individuals and partnerships.
• Manage ATO correspondence, including Top 500 & Next 5000 Private Group Reviews and general tax queries.
• Identify and advise on complex tax and accounting solutions for high‑net‑worth families and family offices.
• Act as liaison between directors, managers and the team, supporting advisory engagements.
• Build direct client relationships and ensure exceptional service delivery.
• Delegate, review work and manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Provide technical support and training to junior staff.

Required profile

• Completed or near‑completed CA qualification.
• Prior experience at a Big 4 or mid‑tier professional/accounting services firm.
• Strong collaborative work ethic and excellent communication skills.
• Passion for working with private clients.

Required skills

• Technical proficiency in taxation and accounting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and tax returns.
