Senior AI Engineer

About the role

Insight Timer is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and operate production‑grade AI agents that serve millions of users worldwide. You will work closely with the Head of AI and backend engineers to turn ambitious concepts into reliable, scalable systems that improve wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship AI agents that interact with real users and integrate with backend APIs at scale.
• Build evaluation, testing, and monitoring infrastructure to ensure reliability, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Architect modular, extensible workflows and own the GenAI infrastructure, shaping best practices and internal tooling.
• Translate early prototypes into maintainable production systems and create data‑feedback pipelines for fine‑tuning.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least one production system involving AI agents or LLM‑based automation.
• Strong Python coding skills with an emphasis on clear, maintainable code.
• Proven ability to design modular architectures and integrate backend services in a fast‑paced environment.
• Motivated by impact and comfortable making pragmatic trade‑offs to ship high‑quality systems.
