Senior Acoustic Consultant - Brisbane or Sydney

About the role

Vipac Engineers & Scientists Ltd, a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing vibration, acoustics and related services to building, infrastructure, oil and gas, industrial, mining and commercial clients, is recruiting an experienced Senior Acoustic Consultant. The role sits within a team of acoustics engineers and is based in Spring Hill, Brisbane or Alexandria, Sydney. It suits someone with more than 10 years' experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform acoustic analysis, modelling and problem solving on a range of projects
• Carry out field work using the firm's equipment
• Prepare acoustic reports for external clients, meeting technical and budgetary requirements
• Work in a broad spectrum of technical areas

Required profile

• Degree or postgraduate qualification in audio engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar science
• At least 10 years of industry experience, preferably in acoustics
• Competent report writing and strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel for field work and flexibility with working hours
• Team player who can work independently when required
• Proven project management experience is valued

Required skills

• Familiarity with proprietary instrumentation and commercial software
• Acoustic analysis and modelling
