Senior Accountant – Group Finance

About the role

This senior position sits within a high‑performing group finance team of a leading ASX‑100 organisation. Reporting to senior finance leadership, you will own the preparation and delivery of accurate group financial information for internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual group financial reports with insightful analysis.
• Manage the end‑to‑end group consolidation process across multiple entities, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory financial statements and fulfil ASX reporting requirements.
• Lead the external audit process, coordinating requests and maintaining strong auditor relationships.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close activities to meet reporting deadlines.
• Partner with finance and operational teams to provide financial insights for decision‑making.
• Contribute to treasury, cash‑flow and balance‑sheet management activities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in reporting, controls and finance processes.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Initial experience with a Big 4 or mid‑tier accounting firm.
• Further experience in a commercial business environment.
• Exposure to consolidations, financial statement preparation, statutory reporting and audit management.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
