Senior Accountant - Business Services

About the role

Grant Thornton Australia's Private Enterprise (Business Services) team is looking for a Senior Accountant to join its Adelaide office. The role sits in a team supporting business leaders through the full business lifecycle, from day-to-day operations and tax and compliance to competitive positioning and exit planning. Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts, tax returns, BAS, FBT and payroll tax returns for a wide range of clients, from SMEs to large companies
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients
• Liaise with clients on compliance requirements and assist with tax and accounting advice
• Monitor and review the work of junior team members and provide development, coaching and mentoring as required

Required profile

• Full CAANZ membership, including completion of the Chartered Accountant (CA) program
• Qualification or professional accreditation in Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or another relevant professional or overseas qualification
• Significant professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting setting
• Caring, conscientious accounting professional who thrives in a client-facing environment
