Senior Accountant – Agribusiness Advisory

About the role

Join William Buck’s Agribusiness Business Advisory team as a Senior Accountant, supporting a diverse portfolio of agribusiness clients across cropping, livestock, irrigation, viticulture and horticulture. You will provide tax compliance, planning, cash‑flow forecasting and strategic advice to help clients navigate seasonal pressures and growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements for trading and investment trusts and companies, including reconciliations and working papers.
• Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, trusts and companies, as well as BAS, IAS and FBT returns.
• Compile Division 7A / UPE loan summaries and manage client correspondence with the ATO.
• Assist clients with indirect tax matters such as GST, payroll and stamp duty.
• Develop detailed tax planning strategies and provide strategic business advice.
• Review the work of junior team members and identify opportunities to achieve client business goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Commerce or Business with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• CA ANZ chartered accountant qualification or CPA certification.
• Minimum three years of public practice experience in a similar role.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Knowledge of data‑analysis tools such as Power BI or cash‑flow forecasting software (desirable).
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Copilot.
