Senior Accountant – Accommodation & Tourism (Remote, Brisbane/Gold Coast)

About the role

The Andersen Partnership, in partnership with a leading accounting practice, is seeking a motivated Senior Accountant to support clients in the Accommodation & Tourism sector. The position is remote‑first, based in Brisbane or the Gold Coast, with occasional visits to Sunshine Coast offices.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and lodge specialised tax compliance, BAS and payroll tax for accommodation and tourism clients using Xero.
• Produce financial reports, adjusted profit & loss statements and due‑diligence reviews for management rights businesses.
• Deliver advisory services including strategic forecasting, cash‑flow analysis and business growth planning.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing end‑to‑end advisory support.
• Progress to direct client management and report to the Partner.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of public practice accounting experience in Australia.
• CA or CPA qualification (or near completion).
• Full Australian working rights.
• Based in Brisbane or Gold Coast with ability to work remotely.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
• Hands‑on experience in tax compliance workflows, BAS and payroll tax.
• Strong financial reporting capabilities.
