Senior Account Executive – Public Relations

About the role

Burson’s Consumer team in Sydney is looking for a Senior Account Executive to help shape integrated public‑relations campaigns for leading global brands. Working closely with Account Directors and client leads, you will translate ideas into earned, influencer, social and digital activations that drive audience connection and cultural relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated consumer campaigns across earned media, influencer, social and digital channels.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, creators and industry contacts to secure coverage and partnerships.
• Create compelling media materials, pitches, social copy and campaign content.
• Support the planning and delivery of events, launches, creator activations and brand experiences.
• Monitor cultural moments, trends and platform behaviours to inform campaign ideas.
• Mentor junior team members and collaborate across strategy, content, reporting and new‑business functions.

Required profile

• Experience in consumer‑focused public relations or communications, preferably within an agency environment.
• Strong understanding of the evolving media and digital landscape, including influencer engagement.
• Ability to spot trends early and translate them into actionable campaign concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Based in Sydney and able to work on‑site.
