Senior Account Executive, Commercial (Mid-Market)
Culture Amp · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
Culture Amp, the employee experience platform used by 25 million employees across 6,000+ companies, is looking for a Senior Account Executive to join its Commercial (Mid-Market) Sales team. The role focuses on the commercial segment (up to 1,000 users), hunting new logos and helping organisations build a better world of work for their people. Most roles ask candidates to work from their local office about two days a week.
Key responsibilities
- Drive new logo acquisition across your commercial territory, owning the full sales cycle from outbound prospecting to close.
- Generate a significant portion of your own pipeline through proactive outbound, using tools, tactics and sales methodologies to break into target accounts.
- Build and manage a robust, accurately forecasted pipeline in Salesforce, with consistent hygiene and weekly forecast updates.
- Run tailored product demonstrations and business case presentations for People Leaders and key stakeholders, highlighting differentiators and ROI.
- Build multi-threaded relationships across HR and key decision makers to drive consensus and deal velocity.
- Collaborate with SDRs, Marketing and RevOps to deliver a seamless prospect experience.
- Share learnings, take part in deal clinics and help raise the bar on how the team sells.
Required profile
- 3+ years of proven sales experience in a closing role focused on new business acquisition.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding quota and managing multi-stakeholder deals.
- Strong outbound and self-sourcing capability, able to build pipeline from scratch.
- Experience selling to HR, People and Culture or business leaders.
- Resilient, intellectually curious, assertive and a skilled multi-threader; views selling as a team sport.
Required skills
- Salescraft: territory and account planning, stakeholder engagement, value/ROI-based selling and commercial negotiation.
- Proficiency in Salesforce and core GTM tools such as Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Outreach; formal sales methodology training (e.g. MEDDPICC, Challenger, Sandler) is a strong plus.
- Experience in HR tech, HCM or adjacent SaaS is advantageous but not required.
What we offer
- Competitive pay and equity through the Employee Share Option Program.
- Learning programs and coaching.
- Quarterly refresh days, an extended end-of-year break and a monthly wellbeing allowance.
- Inclusive parental leave from day one.
- A MacBook and budget to set up a home workspace.
- Five annual social impact days.
- Medical insurance for you and your family (US and UK only).
