Security Install Technician - Electronic Security

About the role

A leading electronic security integrator is seeking experienced technicians to join its growing team in Melbourne. The role is hands‑on, covering cable runs, conduit installation, system fit‑off, testing and commissioning on commercial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Install access control, CCTV, intrusion detection and intercom systems across commercial sites.
• Run cables, install conduit and containment, and complete terminations.
• Mount and fit‑off readers, cameras, locks, door hardware, panels and power supplies.
• Complete panel wiring, testing and assist with system commissioning.
• Read technical drawings and maintain accurate site documentation.
• Collaborate with lead technicians and the wider installation team to deliver projects on time and to a high standard.

Required profile

• 2+ years' experience installing electronic security systems in a commercial environment.
• Current Victorian security installer licence, Open Cabler Registration, White Card and a valid driver’s licence.
• Practical approach with strong attention to detail and pride in delivering neat, quality installations.

Required skills

• Cable runs, conduit installation, terminations and fit‑off.
• Experience with platforms such as Gallagher, Integriti, Genetec and Milestone.
• Ability to read technical drawings and produce site documentation.
