Section Waiter – High‑End Coastal Restaurant

About the role

We are looking for experienced and passionate Section Waiters to join the team at Bannisters Mollymook, working across the iconic Rick Stein at Bannisters by the Sea. You will own your section and deliver an exceptional dining experience from arrival through to farewell.

Key responsibilities

• Curate a personalised service experience for guests from start to finish.
• Manage section flow, balancing multiple tables while delivering personalised attention.
• Maintain in‑depth knowledge of menus, beverage lists, wine pairings, cocktails and seasonal offerings to provide expert recommendations and upsell premium selections.
• Process payments accurately, handling cash, credit‑card transactions and room charges.
• Ensure the restaurant is presented to a high standard, oversee setup and breakdown, and assist with special events, banquets and private functions.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a high‑end, hatted or à la carte restaurant environment.
• A current RSA Certificate and NSW Competency Card (essential).
• A genuine passion for great food, wine and hospitality.
• Outstanding communication skills and an engaging personality.
• Ability to remain calm and organised in a fast‑paced environment.
• Availability to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
• Reliable transport to and from work.
• Local to the South Coast region or willing to relocate.
