Secondary Teacher Positions – Term 1 2027

About the role

The King's College, a Christian secondary school, is looking for enthusiastic, suitably qualified educators to join its growing Secondary School Team, starting Term 1, 2027. Available positions include full-time English, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) and Physical Education teachers, plus a one-year fixed-term maternity contract for an English and/or HASS teacher.

Key responsibilities

• Model and support the College's Christian faith, mission, vision, values and Statement of Faith through professional practice.
• Deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs that engage, challenge and support students.
• Plan, implement and assess learning aligned with the Western Australian Curriculum, SCSA requirements and the diverse needs of learners.
• Create an inclusive classroom culture and use evidence-informed practice and assessment data to monitor progress and improve outcomes.
• Meet the AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers and foster partnerships with students, families and colleagues.
• Contribute to pastoral, co-curricular and wider college life, and uphold child safety and safeguarding.
• Engage in ongoing professional learning.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Education and current teacher registration in Western Australia.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
• Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance; Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.
• Strong written and verbal communication, classroom management and collaboration skills.
• Experience in Christian education is highly regarded.
