Secondary English Teacher (Part-Time)

About the role

Waverley Christian College, a Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12 with campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, is seeking a Secondary English Teacher for its Narre Warren South campus. The position starts in January 2027 and is a fixed-term part-time contract (0.6 FTE) until the end of Term 1, 2027.

The college wants someone who enjoys engaging young people in the study of literature and language, brings creativity and clarity to the classroom, and fosters critical thinking and communication skills. Required profile

• Qualified teacher with current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
• Able to teach English (Junior year levels) and Year 7 Personal Development
• High level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
• Willingness to get involved in all aspects of the College's programs and opportunities
