Scraper Operator

About the role

Rokon is seeking a skilled Scraper Operator to join its civil construction team on projects throughout Melbourne. The role involves operating heavy‑earthmoving equipment to deliver bulk earthworks on time and to budget.

Key responsibilities

• General operation and maintenance of the scraper, preparing and positioning the machine for work.
• Monitor plant performance and make adjustments as required.
• Interpret and work from drawings supplied by site supervisors and project engineers.
• Utilise GPS systems such as Topcon, Leica or Trimble to achieve accurate earthworks.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience operating a scraper in subdivision or bulk earthworks projects.
• Current driver’s licence and relevant plant tickets.
• OH&S white‑card (induction) and a safety‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel between sites across Melbourne as required.

• Basic civil earthworks knowledge.
