School Learning Officer (Wellbeing) 2027

About the role

Holy Cross School, Trinity Park, is seeking a School Learning Officer (Wellbeing) to join the Team Wellbeing alongside the Team Learning. The role supports teachers so that students can meet their learning goals, helping with personalised learning plans (PLP) and highly individualised programs (HIP). It starts on 16 January 2027 and runs term time until 21 January 2028, about 29.6 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Help teachers deliver learning programs in small groups and 1:1, including implementing support, learning and intervention programs aligned with PLPs and HIPs
• Take part in care team, PLP, HIP and safety meetings, and liaise with teachers and parents on matters such as SMART goals, toileting, eating and medication
• Provide support and supervision to students needing substantial adjustments, including during sporting events, field trips and excursions
• Assist students with writing and reading, implement individualised strategies and modifications, and screen and assess students
• Keep accurate records of student work and progress, monitor PLP adjustments and SMART goals, and reinforce behaviour support plans
• Provide practical help with classroom resources, maintain a clean classroom and set up learning environments safely
• Support students' physical, personal care, emotional and medical needs, and supervise the playground
• Complete training in learning programs, medical management, disability-specific training, HIES and PBS strategies

• Pay of $34.17 to $35.62 gross per hour at SOF Level 3 plus 12.75% superannuation
