School Learning Officer (Wellbeing) - Term 1 2027

About the role

Holy Cross School, Trinity Park, is seeking a School Learning Officer (Wellbeing) for Term 1 of 2027. The role supports teachers in helping students reach their learning goals, working with students who need substantial and extensive adjustments. It is a term-time, fixed-term position starting 16 January 2027, 29.6 hours per week, Monday to Friday, until 17 April 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Help teachers deliver learning programs and support students' personalised learning plans (PLP) and highly individualised programs (HIP)
• Take part in care team, PLP, HIP and safety meetings
• Provide support and supervision to students needing substantial adjustments, including during sporting events, field trips and excursions
• Assist with screening and assessment, and keep accurate records of student work and progress
• Monitor and review PLP adjustments and SMART goals, and reinforce behaviour support and safety plans
• Provide practical help with classroom resources, assist with personal care, mobility and medical needs, and ensure student safety
• Supervise playground duty and maintain a clean, safe learning environment
• Complete training in learning programs, medical management, disability-specific training, HIES and PBS strategies

• Pay of $34.17 to $35.62 gross per hour at SOF Level 3 plus 12.75% superannuation
