School Learning Officer (Teaching & Learning)

About the role

Holy Cross School, Trinity Park, is seeking a School Learning Officer (Teaching & Learning) to help teachers maximise educational outcomes for students. The role supports teachers in delivering learning programs in small group and 1:1 situations, and works alongside the school's Team Wellbeing and Team Learning officers. It is a term-time, fixed-term position starting 16 January 2027, for 22.25 hours per week (4 days), ending 21 January 2028.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in supporting student learning aligned with individual learning plans, including writing and reading, and give feedback and observations to classroom teachers
• Provide support and supervision to students needing differentiated teaching practice and supplementary adjustments, including during sporting events, field trips and excursions
• Use relevant learning programs and keep accurate records of student work and progress
• Reinforce appropriate behaviour and school expectations, and provide practical help with classroom resources such as technology
• Perform administrative tasks such as record maintenance, printing and laminating, and help maintain and set up classrooms
• Provide routine support for students' physical needs, ensure student safety according to policy, follow risk assessments and supervise the playground
• Liaise with teachers on straightforward matters and carry out other duties directed by the principal

• Pay of $32.50 to $33.20 gross per hour at SOF Level 2, plus 12.75% superannuation
