SAP Functional Consultant - Policy Administration

About the role

Medibank is looking for an experienced SAP Functional Consultant to join its Technology and Operations team and support the SAP platforms behind its policy administration capability. This is a hands-on functional role covering production support, business analysis and project enhancements, working with business stakeholders, delivery teams and technology partners. The company will support candidates who want to build deep expertise in SAP Policy Management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide functional support for Medibank's SAP systems, investigating and resolving business and system issues.
• Configure SAP solutions to meet business requirements and production fixes.
• Partner with stakeholders and subject-matter experts to turn business needs into technology solutions.
• Take part in requirements and solution-design workshops.
• Produce functional specifications, solution-design documentation and test cases.
• Contribute to SAP enhancement initiatives from requirements analysis and configuration through testing and implementation.
• Identify improvements to systems, processes and functional capability.
• Present solution concepts to stakeholders and maintain system documentation, providing training or knowledge transfer when needed.

Required profile

• At least three years' experience as an SAP Functional Consultant or in a similar functional role.
• Experience supporting and configuring SAP solutions in a production environment.
• Experience gathering requirements, doing functional analysis and writing solution-design documentation.
• Experience with at least one end-to-end SAP implementation or significant enhancement initiative.
• Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in learning a new business domain and becoming a subject-matter expert.

• Advantageous: exposure to SAP FS-PM, SAP for Insurance, policy administration systems or private health insurance.
