Sales Development Representative

About the role

Plexa is looking for a Sales Development Representative to generate new business opportunities for its construction‑management platform across Queensland and New South Wales. You will be the first point of contact for builders, developers and subcontractors, helping them understand how Plexa can streamline their projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and engage commercial builders, developers, subcontractors and civil contractors in Queensland and NSW.
• Build relationships through phone, LinkedIn, email and face‑to‑face networking.
• Identify decision‑makers such as Directors, Construction Managers, Project Managers, Commercial Managers and HSEQ leaders.
• Qualify opportunities and schedule product demonstrations for Account Executives.
• Attend industry events, conferences and networking functions to raise Plexa’s profile.
• Research target accounts and develop strategic outreach plans.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and keep the sales pipeline up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with Marketing to maximise inbound leads.
• Become an expert on Plexa’s platform and the challenges facing the construction industry.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling into the construction sector.
• At least 2 years of B2B sales, business development or SDR experience.
• Strong phone, cold‑calling and relationship‑building abilities.
• Confidence speaking with senior executives and on‑site teams.
• Excellent organisational and follow‑up skills.
• High energy, resilience and genuine curiosity about customer problems.
