Rooms Division Manager - Pre-Opening

About the role

NH Collection Sydney, a new luxury property in Australasia, is looking for a Rooms Division Manager to join its pre-opening team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will lead the Rooms Division operation, covering Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Concierge and Guest Services, and set up service standards and high-performing teams before the hotel opens.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Front Office, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Concierge and Guest Services operations.
• Drive guest satisfaction through personalised service, proactive engagement and effective service recovery.
• Ensure exceptional standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the hotel.
• Manage room revenue performance, occupancy and departmental costs.
• Conduct regular quality reviews and implement initiatives that enhance the guest experience.
• Lead, coach and develop department leaders and team members.
• Resolve complex guest concerns professionally and collaborate with Food & Beverage and Sales teams.
• Support pre-opening activities such as recruitment, training, operational setup and service delivery planning.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Rooms Division Manager, Front Office Manager or senior hotel operations leader.
• Experience in premium, luxury or lifestyle hotel environments.
• Strong commercial acumen managing revenue performance, labour costs and departmental budgets.
• Track record of leading and developing large operational teams.
• Previous pre-opening experience highly regarded.
