Rooms Division Manager

About the role

The Rooms Division Manager will lead the Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping teams at Rydges Fortitude Valley, driving occupancy, average rate, RevPAR and profitability while maintaining the highest standards of guest service, safety and brand compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and direct Front Office, Reservations and Housekeeping, including workforce planning and handovers.
• Act as Manager on Duty, overseeing hotel operations in the absence of senior management.
• Manage guest service recovery, online reviews and complaints.
• Grow rooms revenue through yield management, inventory control and distribution strategy.
• Analyse competitor activity, demand patterns and run displacement analysis on group business.
• Own financial performance of the Rooms Division – RevPAR, ADR, occupancy, labour costs and productivity.
• Oversee reservations across all channels, monitor booking pace and forecasting accuracy.
• Ensure housekeeping standards, preventative maintenance and room condition meet brand expectations.
• Champion EVT Stays programme, drive loyalty enrolments and promote other EVT properties.
• Recruit, coach, develop team members and manage performance reviews and succession planning.
• Maintain a strong Work Health and Safety culture and manage compliance risks.
