Retail Internal Auditor (ANZ)

About the role

Join Sonova’s Finance team as a Retail Internal Auditor, responsible for executing the global store audit programme across Australia and New Zealand. This full‑time, Sydney‑based position involves on‑site audits, internal‑control testing and support for internal audit activities, with 20‑30% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver annual store audits based on risk and KPIs, using resources efficiently.
• Conduct on‑site audits, verify compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and analyse store data to identify control weaknesses.
• Develop recommendations to mitigate fraud risk, optimise operations and protect results.
• Prepare audit reports, present findings to senior management and track remediation actions.
• Support internal control system (ICS) execution, test control effectiveness and collaborate with global teams.
• Assist with global internal audit preparation, manage special investigations and share insights within the audit community.

Required profile

• Completed qualification in business, law or compliance, with additional audit or finance training.
• 4‑5 years of professional experience in auditing or internal control.
• Strong analytical mindset, high responsibility, self‑motivation and resilience.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Proficient MS Office skills.
• Experience with audit tools and data analysis.
