Retail Customer Service & Sales Consultant - Hay Street

About the role

Telstra is hiring a full-time Retail Customer Service & Sales Consultant at its Hay Street store in Perth. As a Retail Consultant you give frontline support by helping customers choose products, activate services and troubleshoot basic issues, creating positive experiences through good communication and adherence to retail standards. The role shows foundational autonomy and supports both customer satisfaction and store performance.

Key responsibilities

• Help customers find the right products and services to suit their needs
• Stay up to date with the latest gadgets and services and offer informed guidance
• Use consultative selling to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs
• Work closely with the team to create a welcoming environment and help everyone reach store goals

Required profile

• Natural communicator who enjoys making customers' days better
• Solution-oriented, able to think on your feet and tailor solutions to each customer
• Motivated to achieve sales targets and KPIs
• Eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
• Resilient and positive, even when busy
• Customer-facing experience is a plus but not required

• Annual fixed remuneration of $73,550 per year (junior rates apply for those under 20); penalty rates of 25% after 6 PM on weekdays, 25% on Saturdays, 100% on Sundays and 150% on public holidays
