Restoration Technician

About the role

A newly created restoration team and facility team in Melbourne is looking for a motivated Restoration Technician. Reporting to the Restoration Manager, the role covers commercial and domestic water, mould and fire insurance restoration claims, with full exposure to the construction side of the business alongside Construction Supervisors and Construction Estimators, supported by the Operations and Claims Management Team.

Key responsibilities

• Handle business-hours emergency response, mitigation and clean-up of properties damaged by mould, water and fire
• Option to service after-hours claims
• Initiate, control and complete all restoration works for mould, water and fire
• Prepare scopes and estimate budgets
• Write reports and communicate proactively and professionally
• Complete all projects to a high standard of quality
• Follow IICRC standards and guidelines

Required profile

• Prior restoration technician experience
• IICRC accreditation not preferred but highly desirable
• Excellent time management, attention to detail, ability to multitask and problem solve
• High level of customer service focus
• Proactive attitude with initiative, drive and leadership

Required skills

• Good computer literacy
• IICRC standards knowledge (highly desirable)
