Installation Technician - Height Safety & Roof Access

About the role

Safety Plus Australia, an established specialist contractor supplying height safety and roof access solutions to commercial and industrial clients in Melbourne and Victoria, is looking for an experienced, hands-on Installation Technician for its growing team in Knoxfield. This is a permanent, full-time position involving hands-on installation work across a variety of commercial and industrial sites, working as part of an established team to a consistently high standard.

Key responsibilities

• Install fall arrest anchor points and static line systems
• Install roof access ladders, walkways, guardrails and access platforms
• Read and interpret construction drawings and installation details
• Measure, set out, drill, fix and assemble components
• Work with aluminium, steel and various roofing and structural materials
• Ensure all work meets relevant safety standards and quality requirements
• Maintain safe, organised and professional worksites
• Work independently when required and contribute positively to the team

Required profile

• Proven hands-on installation experience in commercial construction
• Experience in height safety, roofing, metalwork, structural steel or similar installations; transferable installation skills are welcomed
• Experience working safely at heights and on commercial rooftops
• Construction White Card
• Current driver's licence
• Full working rights in Australia

Required skills

• Confidence using power tools, fixings and installation equipment
• Ability to interpret drawings and set out installation works
• Strong practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
