Restaurant Manager / Supervisor – Korean BBQ

About the role

The Yook has opened its second venue in Chatswood and is looking for an experienced Front of House Manager. The role covers both front and back of the house, overseeing the dining room, seating capacity and staff, while keeping customers happy and operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily front of house and back of house operations
• Deliver superior service and respond quickly and accurately to customer complaints
• Organise and supervise shifts, and appraise staff performance with feedback
• Estimate future needs for goods and manage the restaurant's reputation
• Promote the brand locally through word of mouth and events, and suggest ways to reach a wider audience such as discounts and social media ads
• Train new and current staff on customer service and implement policies that support ongoing operations
• Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations

Required profile

• Proven restaurant manager experience of at least 3 years
• Proven customer service experience as a manager
• Management experience in both front and back of the house; back of the house experience preferred
• Experience in a Korean BBQ restaurant preferred but not essential
• Good command of Korean and English

Required skills

• Extensive food and beverage knowledge, able to recall ingredients and dishes
• Familiarity with restaurant management software
• Strong leadership, motivational and communication skills
