Resource Development Geologist (8:6 FIFO)

About the role

Regis Resources, an ASX 100-listed Australian gold producer, is seeking an experienced Resource Development Geologist to join its Resource Development team at the Duketon Gold Operations, about 130 km east of Laverton, WA. The role supports diamond core and reverse circulation drilling programs that define gold resources, working closely with the Exploration, Resource Estimation and Mining teams. It is a site-based, 8:6 FIFO position from Perth on a permanent basis.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure work programs are carried out safely and efficiently
• Supervise and log resource definition drilling programs geologically
• Capture and load data, validating it before entering the database
• Report drill results or significant finds to management promptly
• Produce periodic internal and external technical reports as required
• Contribute to mineralisation delineation, resource assessment and geological modelling

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related discipline
• Sound knowledge of mineral systems, especially orogenic gold
• Understanding of secondary mineralisation processes
• Familiarity with open pit and underground operations highly regarded
• Strong focus on safety and efficiency
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Right to work and live in Australia

• GIS and 3D software packages such as Leapfrog, Micromine and ArcGIS
