Residential Operations Manager (Maternity Leave Cover)

About the role

Anglicare is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join its Residential Leadership Team at Dorothy Boyt House in Malabar. The role is a 12-month maternity leave cover position focused on the operational effectiveness and efficiency of the home, delivering high levels of care and wellbeing for residents. It works closely with the Residential Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Customer engagement and wellbeing: assist the Residential Manager with complaint management and help address care and service concerns raised in resident surveys and feedback
• Commercial: manage non-clinical administrative and commercial functions to meet home KPIs such as occupancy, expenditure and revenue budgets and care minutes, and set up controls for adverse trends
• People leadership: lead, coach and manage an engaged team, uphold Anglicare's vision and mission and collaborate across teams
• Workforce management: manage large complex rosters, annual leave, sick leave, agency and contingency plans aligned to service level targets, and complete HR and payroll accurately
• Performance and succession: run annual performance reviews and succession planning with the Residential Manager
• Compliance and quality: follow Anglicare's policies, maintain accurate staff compliance records and keep a safe workplace

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a senior administrative and/or management role
• Experience managing budgets and commercial KPIs, and a proven track record of KPI management
• Experience managing complex rosters and diverse workforce teams, preferably in aged care
• Experience with rostering and associated systems
• Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, time management and financial systems

• Attention to detail, leadership, decision-making and efficient work management
