Research Fellow, School of Demography

About the role

The Research Fellow for the School of Demography provides practical and reliable research for the ARC project 'Delivering Anindilyakwa data governance', under the direction of the project CIs. The role supports strengthening the capacity of the Data Unit in research capacity, analysis and write-up of project results, and presentations at domestic and international conferences.

Required profile

• PhD in Demography or a related social science discipline
• Research experience
• Highly organised, dependable team player with strong attention to detail
• Positive, service-focused approach
• Well-developed communication skills, collaborative mindset and ability to build good working relationships with all stakeholders
• Preferred candidate must have rights to live and work in Australia

Required skills

• Confident use of standard IT systems
• Able to manage competing tasks
• Comfortable working in a busy academic research environment

What we offer

• Salary package of $124,638 - $141,317 per annum plus 17% superannuation
• Full-time, fixed-term position of up to 2 years
