Remote In-House Counsel – LegalTech Startup

About the role

Join a fast‑growing legaltech startup as a Remote In‑House Counsel. You will shape AI‑driven contract tools while handling commercial deals for innovative, high‑growth companies.

Key responsibilities

• Build and support the nascent international presence of the company.
• Use and help improve AI‑powered contract automation tools.
• Draft, negotiate and redline sales agreements, MSAs, NDAs, DPAs and order forms.
• Address data usage, ownership and privacy issues in contracts.
• Negotiate both first‑party and third‑party agreements for SaaS and tech transactions.

Required profile

• Admission to the bar in the United States.
• Experience drafting and negotiating common U.S. commercial contracts.
• Background in SaaS, technology, or other tech‑focused transactions.
• J.D. or LL.M. degree (both accepted).
• Willingness to work remotely within the Sydney time zone.

Required skills

• Drafting and negotiating sales agreements.
• Familiarity with MSAs, NDAs, DPAs and order forms.
• Understanding of data privacy, ownership and usage provisions.
• Experience with SaaS and technology transaction contracts.
