Remote General Practitioner (GP) – Australia

About the role

Abby Health is seeking licensed General Practitioners to join its fully remote, online-first primary care team. You will provide same‑day virtual consultations to Australian patients, delivering high‑quality treatment for everyday health issues while maintaining long‑term patient relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct video and phone consultations for a wide range of primary‑care conditions.
• Utilise Abby’s structured intake tools and electronic patient histories to make accurate diagnoses.
• Prescribe treatments, order investigations and arrange follow‑up care in line with the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS).
• Document all encounters in the platform’s EMR system and adhere to clinical governance standards.
• Participate in continuous quality and safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Current registration as a General Practitioner in Australia.
• Experience in primary‑care or community health settings.
• Comfortable delivering care remotely across varied time slots (5:30 am–11:30 pm).
• Commitment to patient safety, evidence‑based practice and ongoing professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency with telehealth platforms and video consultation tools.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Knowledge of the Medicare Benefits Schedule (MBS) and related billing processes.
