Reliever Pharmacist - Hospital Pharmacy, Sydney

About the role

Icon Group is recruiting a permanent full-time pharmacist for its Slade Pharmacy at Mater Hospital North Sydney. The role involves regular travel to other locations across Greater Sydney and the Central Coast, with exposure to hospital, community, clinical and oncology pharmacy. Community and newly registered pharmacists are encouraged to apply, as hands-on training is provided.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medication chart reviews and medication reconciliation
• Dispense and supply medication and pharmacy products
• Coordinate patient medication needs for inpatients, day infusions and discharge
• Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders to deliver good customer service
• Support patients, carers, hospital staff and other employees
• Educate staff and customers on health promotion, disease prevention, drug selection and safe use of medicines

Required profile

• Previous dispensing experience in an Australian-based hospital or community pharmacy
• Current AHPRA general registration
• Current driver's licence and a roadworthy vehicle fit for purpose
• Willingness to commit to a frequent travel role
• Permanent Australian working rights
• Strong communication skills and adaptability; training provided for community and newly registered pharmacists
