Candidates should have demonstrated experience leading PBAC, MSAC and PHARMAC submissions.
Key responsibilities
- Lead preparation of PBAC, MSAC and PHARMAC submissions, including evidence-based content, with accountability for quality, alignment and delivery timelines.

- Lead reimbursement feasibility assessments for pipeline assets to support portfolio prioritisation and resource allocation.
- Monitor the evolving reimbursement and policy landscape in Australia and New Zealand and contribute to stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with regional and global teams so local access insights inform evidence planning and access and pricing strategy.

- Coach and mentor less experienced Value and Access colleagues.
- Represent AbbVie externally with the Department of Health, Medicines Australia and other experts as required.
- Report adverse events within 24 hours, take part in WHS programs and follow internal codes of conduct and compliance processes.
Required profile
- Bachelor degree in Biomedical, Science, Public Health, Health Economics or Business Administration.
- Extensive experience in market access, health economics or related roles in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience developing Value and Access strategy and writing high-quality HTA submissions with clear, evidence-based value propositions.
- Ability to lead projects independently, including managing external vendors and project timelines.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to recommend to senior management.
- Understanding of the ANZ healthcare system and reimbursement processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, able to tailor content to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work in cross-functional, matrixed teams and to adapt to changing customer needs.
