Reliability Engineer

About the role

Anglo American Australia is restarting Grosvenor Mine, a high‑performance underground hard coking coal operation in Moranbah, Queensland. As a Reliability Engineer you will drive reliability excellence across critical underground equipment, supporting the mine’s return to longwall production by Q4 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Lead reliability improvement initiatives across engineering and maintenance teams.
• Analyse asset performance data and develop long‑term improvement strategies.
• Review and refine maintenance strategies specific to underground operations.
• Coach maintenance personnel to embed best‑practice processes.
• Improve equipment availability through asset management, condition monitoring, defect elimination, root‑cause analysis and machine health programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation projects.

Required profile

• Tertiary degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven reliability or mechanical engineering experience in underground mining, focusing on mobile fleet equipment and preventative maintenance.
