Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator - Afternoon Shift

About the role

JBS Beef City is seeking a Rehabilitation & Return to Work Coordinator for its afternoon shift, reporting to the HR Manager. The role coordinates rehabilitation, injury management and return-to-work processes in line with site Workplace Health & Safety requirements and the JBS Rehabilitation and Health & Safety Management System, and helps team members achieve safe and sustainable returns to work after injury.

Key responsibilities

• Lead injury management and rehabilitation activities across the PM shift, providing workplace rehabilitation in line with workers compensation and rehabilitation requirements
• Work with employees, supervisors, medical providers and other stakeholders to coordinate rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes
• Maintain regular communication with the Workers Compensation Self Insurance team
• Support WHS Advisors with investigations into injuries, near misses and hazards
• Take part in internal and external audits and ensure ongoing compliance with JBS systems and processes
• Promote a culture of safety, early intervention and employee wellbeing across the site

Required profile

• Formal qualifications in Return to Work preferred
• Previous injury management experience and working knowledge of workers compensation and rehab legislation
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and to communicate well with a wide range of employees and stakeholders
• Knowledge of manufacturing hazards, ideally within a food manufacturing environment
