Rehabilitation Consultant – Psychology or Rehab Counsellor

About the role

MedHealth’s IPAR team is seeking a passionate Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling professional to join our Liverpool, NSW office. You will work within a multidisciplinary environment delivering occupational rehabilitation services across a variety of schemes, helping clients achieve sustainable return‑to‑health and return‑to‑work outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload with support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
• Conduct clinical and vocational assessments including initial, workplace, functional capacity, ADL and vocational assessments.
• Identify barriers and design practical solutions to support recovery and return to work.
• Partner with employers, employees, insurers and healthcare professionals to deliver injury‑prevention and workplace education programmes.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in Psychology or Rehabilitation Counselling.
• General or provisional registration with AHPRA, or eligibility for ASORC membership.
• Strong communication, relationship‑building and client‑centred approach.
• Current NSW driver’s licence and access to an insured vehicle.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in occupational rehabilitation.
• Ability to conduct functional capacity and vocational assessments.
• Time‑management and organisational skills.
