Rehabilitation Consultant - Psychologist or Rehabilitation Counsellor

About the role

MedHealth, a work and wellness provider, is looking for a Rehabilitation Counsellor or Psychologist to join its multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals as a Rehabilitation Consultant in Griffith. The role helps clients regain their independence and achieve their goals in life and work, with flexible working in the community, from home and the office.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake assessments relevant to your discipline to develop and implement effective rehabilitation plans
• Design and implement intervention programmes using occupation to improve functional performance, independence and work capacity
• Identify barriers and design, implement and monitor programs that support maximal work participation
• Understand healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes and help clients achieve their wellness and recovery goals
• Liaise with clients, family members, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers and other stakeholders

Required profile

• Australian recognised degree in Rehabilitation Counselling (ASORC) or Psychology (AHPRA)
• Willingness to learn and to engage clients and stakeholders in the wellness and work journey
• Commitment to a high level of customer service
• Willingness to work in the community, with a driver's licence and access to your own vehicle
• Current or obtainable Working with Children Check and Police Clearance
