Rehabilitation Consultant – Psychologist or Counsellor

About the role

Join a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals to help clients regain independence and achieve their life and work goals. This role involves delivering assessments, designing intervention programmes and supporting clients through rehabilitation funding schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake discipline‑specific assessments and develop effective rehabilitation plans.
• Design and implement occupation‑based intervention programmes to improve functional performance and work capacity.
• Identify barriers and create programmes that support maximal work participation.
• Liaise with clients, families, funding bodies, medical practitioners, employers and other stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.

Required profile

• Australian recognised degree in Rehabilitation Counselling (ASORC) or Psychology (AHPRA).
• Willingness to work in the community (valid driver’s licence and own vehicle required).
• Current or able to obtain Working with Children Check and Police Clearance.
• Commitment to high‑level customer service and ability to engage clients and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Understanding of healthcare and rehabilitation funding schemes.
• Ability to design, implement and monitor rehabilitation programmes.
