Regulatory Compliance Manager

About the role

Join Mercer Super’s Line 2 Risk and Compliance team as a Manager, Regulatory Compliance. This hybrid position is based in Sydney (or Melbourne) and requires at least three days a week in the office. You will support the Senior Manager, Regulatory Compliance in navigating a complex regulatory environment and delivering risk‑aware outcomes for members.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the Compliance Management Framework and related policies.
• Provide compliance advice, review and challenge to the Line 1 Risk & Controls team and business stakeholders.
• Assist with obligations management, conflicts management and regulatory change activities.
• Complete due‑diligence reviews of externally facing regulated documents and contribute to internal and external reporting.
• Build effective relationships with key stakeholders across Mercer Super and the Marsh Pacific compliance function.

Required profile

• Experience in a compliance, risk or legal support role within financial services.
• Understanding of governance, risk and compliance practices in a regulated environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work across the organisation.

Required skills

• Knowledge of superannuation compliance and regulatory obligations relevant to a superannuation fund (preferred).
• Experience maintaining an obligations library and supporting obligation owners.
• Tertiary qualifications in law or a business‑related discipline (preferred).
