Registered Nurse – Scrub Scout

About the role

Join Epworth HealthCare, a leading private hospital in Melbourne, as a Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse. You will provide peri‑operative nursing care across a range of surgical specialties, ensuring patient safety and positive outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional peri‑operative nursing care throughout the theatre journey.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide seamless, patient‑centred care.
• Assess, plan and evaluate nursing care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain high clinical standards while supporting a culture of safety and excellence.
• Contribute to an efficient theatre environment that promotes continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration.
• Previous experience as a Scrub Scout RN in General Surgery, Plastics, ENT or Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
• Ability to work a rotating roster of AM/PM shifts and be available for weekend on‑call.
• Postgraduate qualification in Peri‑operative Nursing is highly regarded (not essential).

• Ability to adapt confidently to changing clinical situations.
