Registered Nurse / Registered Midwife - Fertility Unit

About the role

The Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) Fertility Unit is seeking an experienced Registered Midwife (RM) or Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver and support fertility treatment for patients, working alongside Fertility Nurses, Specialists and Embryologists. Training, support and education are provided in the unit. The role is permanent, full time at 38 hours per week, with a pay of $81,748 to $114,771 per year plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fertility care by coordinating treatment cycles
• Educate patients about treatment plans and medications
• Perform venepuncture and interpret blood results, calling patients with results
• Assist with day procedures such as ovum pick-ups, embryo transfers and IUIs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow quality and safety standards
• Support patients with empathy and professionalism
• Assist Specialists and Fellows with clinic preparation

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as RM or RN
• At least 2 years of post-graduate experience
• Willingness to learn specialised fertility nursing skills
• Full Australian work rights; only candidates with them can be considered
• Monday to Saturday work (5 x 8-hour shifts per week) and public holidays as required
