Registered Nurse - Part-Time Aged Care

About the role

Aegis Karalee, a privately owned aged care provider in Western Australia, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to cover maternity leave shifts until 14 March 2027, with additional part-time shifts available. All shifts are morning shifts: Week 1 runs Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday; Week 2 runs Wednesday, Thursday, Monday and Tuesday.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake clinical, social and self-care assessments, anticipating residents' changing health needs and initiating further assessments or referrals.
• Support residents and their families by addressing their queries, comments, suggestions and concerns.
• Ensure care documentation is completed and that appropriate strategies are implemented.
• Identify and manage clinical risk in the aged care setting.
• Support, coach, monitor and mentor unregulated care workers, and provide clinical expertise to the care team.

Required profile

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Clinical experience and ability to manage risk in aged care.
• Sound understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and quality management systems.
• Full Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.
• Empathetic, committed to aged care, and able to inspire trust and lead, coach, develop and mentor care and lifestyle staff.
