Registered Nurse Level 2 – Haemodialysis

About the role

The Registered Nurse Level 2 provides patient‑centred care in a haemodialysis clinic, supporting clinical, educational and quality initiatives while acting as a senior team member.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care using advanced nephrology nursing skills.
• Coordinate care for a group of dialysis patients and develop individualized care plans with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide education and support to patients, carers and clinic visitors.
• Mentor and precept Level 1 nurses, enrolled nurses and PSA staff, delivering staff education and assessments.
• Participate in quality improvement, infection control, occupational health and safety, and clinical research projects.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the Therapy Data Management System (TDMS) and ensure privacy compliance.

Required profile

• Registered General Nurse with AHPRA and a current practising certificate.
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience, preferably in nephrology.
• Working towards or holding an approved nephrology nursing qualification.
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and quality improvement.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Quality improvement and risk management processes.
