Registered Nurse (General Practice Nurse) - Permanent Part-Time

About the role

Skilled Nursing is recruiting a permanent part-time Registered Nurse (General Practice Nurse) in Ocean Grove, Victoria. Working alongside a team of General Practitioners, nurses and administrative support, you will join a professional team in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility to work a variety of shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Immunisations
• Assist and support GPs with minor procedures
• Manage recall and reminder systems
• Support GPs with chronic disease management, including health assessments and care plans
• Stock maintenance and ordering
• ECG and wound management
• Infection control and procedures
• Maintain the cold chain management system
• Triage

Required profile

• Practice nurse experience is required
• Immunisation accreditation is highly regarded
• Competence in emergency triage is highly regarded but not essential
• Ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated initiative, time management and flexibility

Required skills

• Proficient computer skills
• Knowledge of best practice is an advantage
