Registered Nurse Critical Care - ICU

About the role

Epworth Geelong in Waurn Ponds is hiring a Registered Nurse Critical Care for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You will provide evidence-based nursing care to a complex patient cohort, working full-time or part-time and reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager. The ICU team is described as respectful, supportive and challenging.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor patients' progress
• Identify sudden or subtle changes in a patient's medical condition
• Care for patients' needs throughout their recovery in the ICU
• Create and implement effective care plans
• Act as the information link between doctors, patients and their families

Required profile

• A minimum of 2 years' experience after CCRN qualification
• Current nursing registration with AHPRA
• Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care Nursing (essential)
• Day and night shift availability, including on-call participation

Required skills

• Solid understanding of health information structures and technology
• Collaboration with team members and patients, with autonomy and initiative

• Salary package up to $15,900 pre-tax annually; annual salary range for full-time registered nurses of $85,732-$107,669 plus super and entitlements, prorated for part-time
