Registered Nurse (Casual) - Colton Close

About the role

Benetas is recruiting an experienced Registered Nurse (Grade 2) for a casual position at Colton Close, a residential aged care home in Glenroy with 89 residents. The role suits nurses who want to provide specialised, high-quality care to older Victorians in a supportive, respectful environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide resident-focused nursing care, including management of diabetes, wounds, infections, pain and medications
• Complete resident assessments, clinical documentation, incident investigations and related care documentation accurately and on time
• Monitor residents' clinical condition and escalate changes appropriately
• Coordinate day-to-day clinical care to support positive resident outcomes
• Administer medications safely in line with legislation, policy and scope of practice
• Guide and support Enrolled Nurses and Personal Care Workers
• Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals, families and other stakeholders
• Spend time with residents to build genuine connections and show empathy

Required profile

• AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Australia, ideally in residential aged care
• Previous residential aged care experience highly regarded
• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance ID or ability to obtain one
• Flexibility to work a range of casual shifts, including AM, PM, nights and weekends

Required skills

• Medication management, wound care, diabetes management, infection prevention and pain management
• Resident assessment and strong clinical judgement
• Understanding of the aged care legislative framework

What we offer

• RN Grade 2 rate of $47.15-$54.42 per hour plus 25% casual loading and superannuation
