Registered Nurse - Aged Care

About the role

Calvary Health Care is recruiting a Registered Nurse for its aged care service in Cowandilla, South Australia. The nurse provides clinical leadership to staff and ensures compliance with legislative requirements so that residents receive a high standard of care and a quality lifestyle. Night shift availability is highly desirable.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the delivery of quality clinical services in line with a resident-centred model of care.
• Manage and provide efficient, effective and compassionate care planning and assessment.
• Ensure medication management is safe and effective and meets legislative requirements and policy.
• Work with staff, other health professionals, residents, their families and Clinical Leadership teams so that clinical decisions follow best practice and give positive resident outcomes.

Required profile

• Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APRA) is mandatory.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the legislation governing aged care and commitment to contemporary aged care practice.
• Experience in a clinical leadership role managing day-to-day clinical issues.
• Ability to support and lead a multi-disciplinary team.

Required skills

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage daily activities efficiently.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.
